Books (and gratitude)

We love books. We have books in all the rooms of our apartment. Jay is always buying football and English language books for his students. I prefer reading novels but I must confess that I buy a lot of books about nutrition and autoimmune disease, my favourite topic. I'm a freak, I know.

BTW, I would like to thank you for all the messages that we recieved yesterday because of Jay's diabetes. It's nice to know that we have a lot of people supporting us. Thank you so much for your kindness and love. We really appreciate it.

Send you all a big hug.

Diabetes

Last days have been a bit strange. Jay has been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and now we are trying to adapt our lives to the new routines. Yesterday we spent most of the day at the hospital and now we have many new "toys" at home.

Before going to the doctor we went to Can Jordi to have breakfast. As you can see, Jay was a bit worried about the results but, at least, he enjoyed the food and also the place, one of his favourites.

Today we've spent all morning in the supermarket buying food for him and now we're going to make the menu for the week.

We are optimistic. Everything is going to be allright.

It's been a long time.

It's been a long time since the last day I posted something in "Retalls". Other projects had me very busy but I feel I need to start again taking photographs of places and things I like, writing about life and connetcing with my creativity.

Here are some pics of our beautiful breakfast today. The Giri Café is a lovely restaurant. Don't miss it if you are in Ibiza. Then we have walked through the market and had lunch with my parents. Now it's time to organise the week and prepare for Monday. Hope your weekend has been amazing.

Welcome on board again!
