Hello!

When it rains I feel I need to post on this blog again.

It reminds me of fall, leaves, home-staying and writing on my laptop with a big mug of coffe.
Raining awakens my creativity and the necessity of a new start.

So, for the ones that don't follow me on my social media, here are some news:
-We are expecting our first baby for February.
-We are remodelating our home.
-And we are very happy.

Wish all the news were always like this.

Hope to make pics and write more often here the few months so you could be updated with all the new stuff in our lives.

Lots of love <3

Welcome rain!

Rain is here. So needed in the island. We've been waiting for it to come for a long time. Now feels like Autumn has truly started.

Yesterday we went to Formentera because my football team played its first match of the championship. Jay also came to help me with the children. It was a nice experience and I'm so happy to share a lot of beautiful moments with them. They are amazing and always make me smile.

Today we went to Plaisir, a beautiful restaurant in Santa Gertrudis to have brunch. It was full so we shared table with other people. We love to go there and enjoy the smell of the coffee and the tasty comfort food. Totally recommended.

How was your weekend? :)

PS: more pics on my Instagram.

Sunday walk

Nothing feels better than a Sunday afternoon walk. We went to Santa Gertrudis to have a coffee with my parents and then we had a walk around the village.

There's a nice bookshop, Libro Azul, that has a table on the outside where you can find a lot of books in different languages. You can take one and leave the money in a piggy bank (the amount you want). They use it to help the stray cats.  As you can see, they came to say hi and thanks. So cute!
Hope you all had a lovely weekend.

Books (and gratitude)

We love books. We have books in all the rooms of our apartment. Jay is always buying football and English language books for his students. I prefer reading novels but I must confess that I buy a lot of books about nutrition and autoimmune disease, my favourite topic. I'm a freak, I know.

BTW, I would like to thank you for all the messages that we recieved yesterday because of Jay's diabetes. It's nice to know that we have a lot of people supporting us. Thank you so much for your kindness and love. We really appreciate it.

Send you all a big hug.

Diabetes

Last days have been a bit strange. Jay has been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and now we are trying to adapt our lives to the new routines. Yesterday we spent most of the day at the hospital and now we have many new "toys" at home.

Before going to the doctor we went to Can Jordi to have breakfast. As you can see, Jay was a bit worried about the results but, at least, he enjoyed the food and also the place, one of his favourites.

Today we've spent all morning in the supermarket buying food for him and now we're going to make the menu for the week.

We are optimistic. Everything is going to be allright.

It's been a long time.

It's been a long time since the last day I posted something in "Retalls". Other projects had me very busy but I feel I need to start again taking photographs of places and things I like, writing about life and connetcing with my creativity.

Here are some pics of our beautiful breakfast today. The Giri Café is a lovely restaurant. Don't miss it if you are in Ibiza. Then we have walked through the market and had lunch with my parents. Now it's time to organise the week and prepare for Monday. Hope your weekend has been amazing.

Welcome on board again!
